How I got 3 scholarships for studies Part 1

scholarships

I decided to share this story with you today because I feel, you will be inspired to never give up and you can learn something that will help you in your present situation.

5 years ago, my journey to success started yielding positive results when I received the good news from 3 big sponsors(donors) to fund my masters program abroad.

It was a time of joy, celebration and decision. A time of joy and celebration because, it was good news and success for hard work. A time of decision because I had options to select between 3 good scholarship opportunities.

Though this good news was a product of persistence and learning. It took me more than 10 years(2005-2015) to get result because the level I was required complete change of mindset and determination to achieve success in any area of life.

It is a long story but I will try to just mention few things in this part 1 of my story. I do not want to just say it all here so that you will not miss the important point. If you follow me on my youtube[NsimaTV], twitter, facebook[Nsima TV] and instagram[Nsima TV], you may have the opportunity to get the part 2 of my story.

3 things that helped me on my journey to success:

  1. Aggressive learning, unlearning and relearning- You can imagine a situation where I had no senior brother/sister or family member to advice me on how to achieve my dreams! Always learning was the key to my success.
  2. I never never never gave up- I mean the thought of it never came at all. I approached all situations with open mindset. If I fail, I will learn and do it again. I was never discouraged. I read stories of people who made it, so i knew that it was possible. I failed many times but never gave up.
  3. Clarity, focus and little steps- This was the catalyst that boost my perseverance and consistency to achieve result. It was so obvious that people around me gave me a name. I had clarity to my future plans, visions and goals. I remain focus in the midst of failure, no motivation or anyone to look up to. The little daily steps was my consistency. I learnt it myself all the way up.

Thank you for your support.
